Natasha Richardson Dead at 45

Actress Natasha Richardson has died following a skiing accident in Canada on Monday.

Ms. Richardson is part of the Redgrave dynasty of British actors that includes her mother Vanessa, aunt Lynn and grandfather Sir Michael Redgrave. Her sister, Joely Richardson, stars in the TV series Nip/Tuck.

The actress won a Tony award for her stage role in Cabaret. In film she starred in the comedy film The Parent Trap playing alongside a young Lyndsay Lohan.

Ms Richardson leaves her husband actor Liam Neeson and two sons aged 12 and 13.  His publicist, Alan Nierob, issued the following statement:

“Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”
