Attendees Peep Behind the Veil
By Alan von Kalckreuth

Los Angeles is left glowing in the warm hues of the Conscious Life Expo.  The Expo which ran from February 13th to the 16th was the seventh annual “gathering of the tribes”, a time to “participate in the conscious co-creation of a new world, a world based on new paradigms…”

What are these new paradigms and who attended the Expo?  “There is someone in this room who tried to kill themselves last night,” declared a spiritual guide to his captive audience in one of the workshops.  Who ever this struggling soul was, he or she was among the company of a hundreds of other souls all striving to journey through their lives as responsible, loving beings.

This wasn’t an event for Goths.  This was the flower power of the Age of Aquarius; in fact one group of attendees had the good sense to celebrate the very hour of the new age’s arrival with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel.  There can be little doubt that within those sacred walls is many a spirit, more used to “Lights… Action!” than shadowy wafting.
The Expo has grown over the years and many of the attendees as well as the exhibitors and guest speakers see this growth as a result of “The Quickening”.  When the sun shines make hay – when the Quickening occurs use that forces and energy to elevate your consciousness.  There were ample opportunities to raise ones consciousness, from aura revelations to reflexology.  And there was a chance to peep behind the Veil.  One of the sold-out events was the marathon talk given by the witty Englishman David Icke.

Icke explained to a keen audience that the Queen of England is a lizard and that we the commoners of the nations of earth are nothing more than grubs for herself  and her cronies to satiate themselves on.  Icke’s fantastic proposal was meet with keen enthusiasm.  For many this was a comprehensive accounting of the state of the world and set down clear marching orders for the “Bearers of the Light”.

As the star-dust settle once again on this city of Angels the attendees returned to where they had come a little wiser, a little more enthusiastic about the great struggle civilization now finds itself in, and, I hope, a little elevated.
