Cranky Beatle

Ringo Starr is tired of signing autographs. He doesn’t want to hear from you.

A cranky Richard Starkey posted a video on his website RingoStarr.com warning fans NOT to send him anything to be read, answered or signed, after Oct. 20.

“It’s going to be tossed,” he says. “I’m warning you with peace and love I have too much to do. So no more fan mail. Thank you, thank you. And no objects to be signed. Nothing.”

Too much to do?  Like what, count the millions he has made over the years from his fans?

Strangely, you can still purchase — in case you have time — a Ringo Starr tote bag for $19.95 and a Ringo Starr hoodie for $54.95.

There’s also a contest going on the site. “Ringo wants you, his loyal fans, to submit photos taken from his 2008 All Star tour. He will handpick his favorite and post it to the website, Ringostarr.com.”

The winner will win a signed drum head. The contest ends Oct. 30.

Wow. Talk about mixed messages.
