Comedian, Ricky Gervais hit one out of the park with his appearance on the Emmy telecast last Sunday, and the rumor mill is working overtimw with buzz that Gervais will be asked to host thw 2009 Academy Awards.
Gervais’ movie credits including Ghost Town (which only earned a disappointing $5 million last weekend) and he also co-directed and co-wrote This Side of the Truth, a 2009 romantic comedy in which he stars with Jennifer Garner and Tina Fey.
Gervais will also appear in his own comedy special for HBO this November.
