The L.A. County District Attorney has charged rapper Chris Brown with felony assault and making criminal threats, also a felony. 
The charging documents name “Robyn F.” as the alleged victim.
A report by Los Angeles Police detectives leaked Thursday claims Chris Brown tried to push girlfriend Rihanna out of a car on the night of their alleged fight, and that he repeatedly punched and choked her and at one point threatened to kill her.
The altercation allegedly began in the early hours of Feb. 8, the day of the Grammys, after Rihanna 
read a three-page text message on Brown’s phone.
When she became angry, Brown tried to force Rihanna out of the car, but couldn’t because she was wearing a seat-belt, the detective’s notes said.
Brown allegedly shoved Rihanna’s head against the passenger window. After she turned to face him, Brown punched her, and continued punching her while driving, the report says. The blows caused Rihanna to bleed onto her dress and the interior the rented Lamborghini Brown was driving.
According to the report, Brown told Rihanna: “I’m going to beat the shit out of you when we get home. You wait and see.” Rihanna then left a message for her assistant that said, “I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there.”
According to the report, this made Brown furious. “You just did the stupidest thing ever. I’m going to kill you,” he told her.
Brown will be arraigned today at 3:30 PM in downtown LA.
A spokesperson for the D.A. says Brown could face a maximum of four years and eight months in prison.
