Since the release of the fifth tape revealing Mel Gibson’s mad rants and threats against his former girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, his team have gone into overdrive to present Mel as an up-standing citizen and fine husband and father to his multitude of kids.

They have found audio experts to state that the tapes have been “tampered” with even after various top experts for the CIA and the FBI have analyzed the tapes and conformed their authenticity.

They have also convinced Mel’s ex wife, Robyn Gibson to write a letter to the court to state that “Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage.” Robyn also claims that there was never any domestic violence perpetrated by Mel against any of their children.

Wonder if the fact that Mrs. Gibson is due to receive upwards of $450 MILLION dollars from her divorce from the insane actor have anything to do with her stepping up to save his reputation. Nah. It couldn’t be.

Gibson’s lawyers say he was set up but there is a ton evidence to indicate the opposite.  Oksana’s teeth were knocked out, there is a bruise on their baby’s chin, allegedly from when Mel hit Oksana while she was holding the child. Oksana’s son is also reported to have witnessed the verbal abuse of his mother.

Next they will claim Gibson’s traffic stop and subsequent anti-semitic rant to a Malibu police officer was also a set up.

Poor Mel. The world is out to get him. Him and OJ Simpson. Both victims.

Please! Someone from Gibson’s camp get this abusive, angry old man some help before he hurts someone, or even worse, kills someone or maybe self destructs from the venom brewing inside him. Compared to him, Lindsay Lohan is Mother Terresa.

One thing for sure. We will be hearing a LOT more about Gibson in the coming months.

According to UK paper, The Daily Mirror, a 47 second clip showing the starlet naked and going at it with a mystery male is being shopped by an unnamed Los Angeles waiter who is trying to sell it to the highest bidder.

“This video’s dynamite,” a source tells The Mirror. “It is pretty seedy and shows Lindsay engaged in a particular sex act which, obviously, should remain behind closed doors.”

“If and when it is released on the internet, via a spurious, unofficial website, there is absolutely nothing she or her lawyers can do about it.”

“Lindsay is devastated - particularly as she is working hard on cleaning up her act” the source added.

The  evening was  designed to bring awareness to the work of Hollywood Arts Foundation, who provide education for under-Privileged and minority students in Hollywood.

No one has commented that Jackson’s three kids seemed to have had their light brown, blondish hair dyed brown for the funeral. Was it to send a subliminal message that they belong with the Jackson’s and not birth-mother, Debbie Rowe.

It is becoming more and more obvious that Jackson has had a serious drug problem for years. The police even found prescription drugs at Neverland prior to his trial, but no one really stepped in to prevent a disaster. Everyone wanted Jackson’s love and approval, and his money.

Meanwhile his final resting place has yet to be determined. His CD sales and iTune downloads are going through the roof. Magazines with the King of Pop on the cover are selling off the racks. His reported five hundred million dollar debt should be paid back a lot sooner now that he has died.

Was he really a child molestor? It’s a question many don’t want the answer to, even-though the evidence against him was compelling. He was found innocent. So was O.J.

What cannot be disputed is that Michael Jackson was a super talented performer who was also an obviously victim of his own fame. His untimely death now guarantees that he will joint those other icons who continue to flurish in fame and earnings since their passing. James Dean, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, John Lennon, and now Michael Jackson.

Gone but never to be forgotten.

A police spokeswoman told People Magazine, “Westminster Police are investigating an allegation of theft of jewelry from studios in Brewery Road in Islington. The theft was reported to a central London police station on the eighth of June after earrings and a necklace, believed to be diamond and estimated to be worth $400,000, were found to be missing approximately two days earlier.”

She adds: “Inquiries are continuing and no arrests have been made. As far as who we will be interviewing – we will be speaking to a number of people in connection with the inquiry and don’t discuss the identity of the people we are planning to interview.”

Meanwhile, a spokeswoman for Elle U.K. released a statement exonerating the 22-year-old star. “I can confirm on behalf of Elle magazine, that items of jewelry went missing from an Elle photoshoot … and the matter is now being investigated by the police,” she states. “Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make.”

There has been no investigation as to why Lohan posted the topless photo on Twitter.

Porter interviewed Brando about Newman before the acting great died in 2004 - and he was stunned with what Brando had to say.

“He never fooled me. Paul Newman had just as many on-location affairs as the rest of us, and he was just as bisexual as I was. But, where I was always getting caught with my pants down, he managed to do it in the dark.”

Sutherland will be charged with third-degree assault for the attack on designer Jack McCollough, sources said.

The actor will be issued a desk appearance ticket for the misdemeanor - meaning he won’t be jailed and will be free to travel before he’s arraigned.

Sutherland slammed his head into McCollough’s at a SoHo nightspot - felt bad about the bizarre display according to a friend.

“Kiefer is sorry it happened. Absolutely. It’s terribly regrettable,” the friend said.

Still, the friend insisted Sutherland lashed out because McCollough, a designer for Proenza Schouler, bumped into actress Brooke Shields and didn’t apologize. “Kiefer was provoked,” the friend said.

Another source at the party meanwhile said Sutherland ”way overreacted” when McCollough bumped into Shields ”clearly by accident” while she was chatting with Sutherland.

A source at the post-gala party who witnessed the altercation claims ”it happened in a flash. Suddenly there was all this yelling and cursing and Jack’s face was all bloody.

”Kiefer really looked like he was in a daze of some kind.”

The designer reportedly was rushed to a New York hospital, suffering from a broken nose. He was released Tuesday after being kept in the hospital overnight for observation.

McCollough’s publicist called Sutherland’s actions a ”vicious, violent, unprovoked assault” on the designer. ”Anyone who knows Jack McCollough knows that he wouldn’t hurt a fly.”

The actor, who co-starred with Shields in the 1996 film ”Freeway,” is currently on probation in Los Angeles on a DUI charge. The L.A. authorities have yet to comment on what, if any, action they will take in light of the Monday night incident.

McCollough’s people are not saying if the designer will be filing a lawsuit against Sutherland.

According to the New York Post, “Paula was totally fooled.”

Abdul called into a radio station this morning to explain what happened and why her blundering publicist got her in front of Bruno’s German camera crew in the first place.

Here is her explaination:

It is the most interesting, whacked-out situation that happened to   me. I was scarred for life for a year. A year ago, my publicist said I’d won “Artist of the Year” in Germany. And I said, “Really? That’s interesting. Okay … ” They said they were going to film a Johnny Depp one for film, and a Scorsese one, I think …

It was on a day of Idol, so I could do it in the morning. It was in the Hollywood Hills. So I get there, and it’s this German crew. And I never signed a release, but I guess my publicist did. And I walk into the home and I’m greeted by this futuristic Captain Nemo–looking dude with a mohawk — and he’s flaming. And I’m going, “Oh, this is going to be one of those fun Japanese game shows.” I’m like, okay, this is weird. Is this a variety show or something like that? So I walk in and there was no furniture except for a chair. And I’m waiting and waiting. And this guy Brüno introduces himself and I said, “Hi.” And he said, “Here have some food.” And the food looked horrible. And I said “No, I’m fine.” And he said, “It’s very, very, very good.” I said, “That’s okay, I don’t want to have it.”

And he says, “Sorry there’s no furniture.” And he snaps his fingers and says “Gardeners!” And these two Mexican guys come in, and they drop down to all fours. I see him paying them like ten bucks. They drop down to all fours and he says [to me], “Sit down.” And I said, “I’m not doing that.” And he says don’t be like …

And I’m in a dress, so I’m tipping and holding my core muscles to not sit on them. And he pushes me down on them, and I’m like, “I’m sorry. And these two gardeners … Mexican gardeners don’t speak a word of English, and I’m like patting them and I’m like, “I’m so sorry.” And he kicked one of them, and we all fall. It was getting so uncomfortable and I’m throwing daggers with my eyes at my publicist. And they’re kicking my publicist out. And I said, “Get me out of here. This is crazy. This is not funny, this is discrimination. This is abusive stuff going on here.” And he says, “I need you to change your clothes,” and I said, “No, I won’t be doing that. I have to go to work … And by the way, where’s my award?”

I had to go to Idol and I couldn’t wait to get out of there. And as I’m going to my car, they’re chasing me with cameras, and I’m like, oh God this is so awkward. And I’m trying to hold a smile on my face and the guy Brüno’s running down the street in front of the car. It was hysterical but it was so disturbing. I was so mad at my publicist at that point. I said, “I can’t believe you signed [the release].” And my manager and attorney were trying to call the production office — and of course it doesn’t exist. So I was freaking out.

So a year goes by. And three weeks ago, my manager sends over something. He says “I have no idea what this is … ” People magazine wants to know how it feels to be totally punked by Sacha Baron Cohen, a.k.a. Brüno. And I said, “I’ve never done anything with Sacha Cohen … They’re wrong.” So we respond — “We have no idea what this is, but she’s never worked with Sacha Baron Cohen.” And at two o’clock in the morning that night I woke up in a cold sweat. I popped my body up out of bed and I went “Holy crap! Oh my God!” And that’s what happened. And I’m dying.

Bruno is to be released in July.

It was actually refreshing to hear Julia Roberts drop a bunch of F-Bombs at a Film Society of Lincoln Center event honoring actor, Tom Hanks. Ms. Roberts unloaded the expletives as she roasted Hanks, starting her three and a half minute turn at the microphone with “It’s late, I’m paying my babysitter overtime and I have to pee.”  She then when on to exclaim, “Tom Hanks. What the fuck?”

Roberts was one of the last people to speak on Hanks’ behalf that evening, so with all of her jokes stolen by others, Julia let loose.

The Motion Picture Association of America originally gave the film the dreaded NC-17 rating forcing the filmmakers to cut scenes and make Bruno more palatable for the masses.

After seeing the latest cut, the ratings board reversed it’s decision and gave Bruno an R for “pervasive strong and crude sexual content, graphic nudity and language.”
